Tutorial hell is that strange place where you're always learning but never building. You finish a video, feel productive, and immediately queue up the next one. Months pass. You can follow along with anything and build almost nothing on your own.
I lived there for the better part of a year. The way out wasn't a better tutorial — it was doing the scary thing and closing the tutorial.
The rule that got me out
For every hour I spent watching, I had to spend an hour building something without a video open. No copying line by line. Just me, a blank file, and the messy process of figuring it out. It was uncomfortable and slow, and it was the first time things actually stuck.
Getting stuck isn't a sign you need another tutorial. It's the exact moment the real learning starts.
